10 hours to R. Madhavan

He was so good in Kannathil Muthamittal, and tonight he’s hosting  a special one-night-only advance screening of his December release, Evano Oruvan, a Tamil remake of the Marathi hit Dombivli Fast that he stars in and also co-produced.

  1. Thanks, Raj. N and I really missed having you with us tonight.

Hi Joseph, I think it must be due to the lesser foreign, non-Tamil speaking demand for these films in the past (compared to Hindi films), though I’m sure demand is stronger now. And yes, tonight’s film did have sub-titles, which my companion pronounced as very accurate. My particular beef is with how poorly the proofreading often is of them when they are there.

  2. Hi Maria,
I don’t know if this one has subtitles or not but for the life of me I could never understand why it’s so hard get some frkin subtitles for non-hindi Indian films—-can you? Surely it can’t be about the cost—

  3. Hi Maria:

I like the headline and very apt selection of photograph, since.
that’s what the female lead is doing to Madhavan. “Kannathil Muthamittal!”

    Great beginning.
