Some of the scenes in the film are extremely good i.e. Confrontation with Sher Khan in police station, Amitabh beating up Goga Kapoor again in police station and then in Climax, red eyes of Amitabh were simply superb. This film announced "arrival of the megastar" with elaan! However this had elements of typical masala films- Voluptous Bindoo! and not to forget very stylish and suave Ajit saab- he also made his mark in his typical style! This film was a phenomenal work! 'Zanjeer's' historical importance in making AB a star cannot be stressed enough. Before that we had many heroes in Indian movies - but never one this angry & tortured. Jaya was great in it as well - people need to see these classic flicks so Jaya is just not remembered as the sweet ma that she is now.
