Here’s an article I did on the U.S. launch of Guru that appeared in this week’s edition of India-West.

I was actually looking forward to your review of Guru and am disappointed that you have yet to review it
I am a big fan of Mani Ratnam’s and his sensible movies. I have watched almost all his films - my favorites being Tamil films like Nayakan, Mouna Ragam, Anjali, Bombay, Kanathil Muthamitaaal and Thiruda Thiruda (one of the best masala films ever made in India in my opinion) Geetanjali (Telugu) and Dil Se. I was not so impressed with his last outing in Hindi, Yuva, though it had several deftly executed sequences… I am flying to India in a couple of days and can’t wait to watch Guru.
You had been for its show in NY, right? so, why the delay?
Here’s looking forward to your review/
Great article! Will you be posting more pictures from the press conference?
Also, I beat you to reviewing Guru, hah! I really have to see Mani’s Tamil films now …
Neelam, sorry, it’s up now. It was just a really hectic week and I wanted to get it right before putting anything up.
Maja, yes I will, that’s next up. And I’m looking forward to your review. My faves of the later Mani flics are Dil Se and Yuva (though they’re Hindi), and in Thamizh you MUST see Kannathil Muthamittal - just beautiful.
