Hi Joseph, I think it must be due to the lesser foreign, non-Tamil speaking demand for these films in the past (compared to Hindi films), though I'm sure demand is stronger now.  And yes, tonight's film did have sub-titles, which my companion pronounced as very accurate.  My particular beef is with how poorly the proofreading often is of them when they are there.</description>
