The TV was on in the other room, playing the latest two-hour special Kaun Banega Crorepati, with sleepy-eyed Sanju and Boman Irani paired up to win money for their two chosen charities (both for street kids), when all of a sudden I hear:

We are the world – We are the children ….
I thought “Oh, they must be playing this to accompany a film montage of the charities at work.”
As I reached the TV, there I see one Boman Irani singing the song (and doing all the different voices!) as the erstwhile Munnabhai and the King Khan waved their hands slowly from side to side over their heads. Priceless.
In all fairness to the bawa, he sings quite well.

Saw Boman perform “We are the world” live once at a party. He is soooo gooood. Getting all those different voices… Amazing…

Man!! How do you know that Boman Irani is Parsi and that Parsis are called Bawa? I know atleast two people from India that I met at Grad school in the US, who had not heard of Parsi people. And here you are… Well all I can say is that “I am impressed”.
LOL I watched this a few days ago and had a blast … I’d rather die than sing on TV, but I was surprised at how well Boman can sing.
I was hoping they’d get Arshad in the studio for a bit, I guess that phone prank was better than nothing
hehe. i could not decide if i should cringe in my seat or wave along. he really can sing. you should hear his “somewhere over the rainbow” or the billy joel song in “let´s talk” awesome.
